Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg 5th Tishrei 5763 - 9/11/02

Rabbi Immanuel Yosef Legomsky M.A. Neurotherapist, was a Talmid many years in Yeshiva Torah Ore. In the last 7 years, as Director of Menucha V'Simcha Neurofeedback Clinic and also Torah Education A.D.D. Projects, he has helped many people with learning and emotional problems. In the past year, due to the many tragic events in Israel, he felt the need to use his expertise to help the increasing number of victims of terrorist attacks. He began regularly extending free professional services to the mostly poor terror attack victims, both before and after their release from hospital. These victims suffer from pain, nightmares, and fear, and have not been receiving the specific help that they need.

Rabbi Legomsky has acquired the most advanced techniques in the treatment of these trauma problems directly from some of the world's most experienced experts. His free services have successfully helped many victims with trauma flashbacks, pain and sleep problems, and motivation and depression issues. Although he is making efforts to attain public funding, this has not yet become available. There is a great need for his work as it directly services the poor and needy victims of terror. I personally Bless all those who support this cause with Nachas from their family and Hatzlacha in all their endeavors,

Hopefully awaiting the mercy of G-d, and the year of redemption and deliverance,

Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg

Translation of Hebrew support letter from Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg and Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, 5th Tishre, 5763 i.e. September 11th, 2002

Rabbi Immanuel Yosef Legomsky was a student for many years in Torah Ohr Rabbinical Seminary. For the last seven years, he has successfully directed clinics to help people suffering from learning disabilities and emotional trauma.

In the last year, due to the many terror tragedies in Israel, he felt the need to make use of his expertise to help the growing number of terror victims. Victims suffer from many various traumatic problems. He is directly providing free trauma services that have helped many victims suffering from these problems, who have not otherwise received effective treatment for their problems in Israel.

He is actively seeking public funding, though he is currently limited to private funding. There is a great need for his direct trauma services for the often very poor terror victims. I personally bless all those who help him achieve the purpose of expanding direct free trauma services to terror victims with great nachas from their families and success in all their endeavors.

Hopefully waiting for the mercy of G-d, and the year of redemption and deliverance,

Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg

The Technique of the Man Who Has Seen It All
Esther Mor

The brightness exuding from the faces of those exiting Rabbi Immanuel Legomsky's seminar reveals the enormity of the experience they just underwent. Some of the words those who have experienced this technique use to describe it are 'gift', 'treasure', 'light', and 'new lease on life'. They will recount the emotional distress they've rid themselves of, physical pain which has disappeared, fears and anxieties which have faded, and stronger spiritual connection. And you'll listen, nod your head, half smiling, not sure you agree, until you try it yourself.

Rabbi Legomsky, Pennsylvania born father of ten, experienced specialist in approximately 30 methods of natural medicine, has dedicated the best of his years to working with terror victims. But he was always searching for the most effective method to heal past trauma, and prevent future fear and anxiety. He has traveled extensively around the world, participated in international conferences, met with renowned doctors in Europe and the United States, and often 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' was mentioned as an ultimate method.

When he first learned 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' in 1995 at an EEG Brainwave Neurotherapy Conference, he still did not realize that he had finally found what he had been searching for. "EFT seemed too simple and cute to be a serious treatment tool for resolving trauma and emotional problems". However, after EFT kept reappearing in professional circles, and medical research and an international systematic support system developed, Rabbi Legomsky examined EFT more closely and chose to become the most highly trained EFT specialist in Israel.

"The way our mind/body functions is similar to a computer", explains Rabbi Legomsky. "Just like a computer, our mind/body absorbs "viruses" from various periods of our life, particularly from young childhood. And just like a computer, special knowledge and techniques are required to remove the viruses. When a girl stands in the kitchen and her mother says: 'You didn't boil the chicken, you spoiled the chicken!', those words can be absorbed in the little girl's internal computer like an "emotional virus" that makes her feel destined to, or deserving of failure. Now, as a mature adult, this will often affect her cooking success in her own family kitchen. When she unexpectedly hears the same music that was playing in the room when her mother said that poisonous critical message, or similar words to her mother's criticism, or sees or senses something else in common with the original event, this may trigger that "emotional virus" she absorbed. This often results in actually causing her muscles to become physically weak, and she will "accidentally" pour too much salt or find another way to self-sabotage and spoil the food today.

"We are all activated like buttons on a computer, and all our negative thoughts and emotions immediately create a physically felt upset or disturbance in our energy system. In English, we even say, "I got upset". According to 'Emotional Freedom Techniques', a person physically taps acupressure meridian points that calm and balance his energy system, while at the same time talking about what is bothering him. This is the most effective treatment method for dealing with depression, pain, mourning, various compulsions or addictions, and for dealing with tension, panic, anxiety pressure, or emotional trauma. Every person can effectively treat and heal himself. This is the most recommended and effective treatment particularly for our Orthodox Jewish population because our close knit, large Orthodox Jewish families are like sophisticated laboratories. Whenever any small detail is altered, the entire system is affected.

"This is the best tool for overcoming a craving for food, money or smoking. A person addicted to cigarettes or chocolate tells himself: 'I must have this now, otherwise I can't calm down'. By utilizing the Emotional Freedom Techniques, he immediately frees himself from the driving "I gotta have it now" compulsion which he could not control up until this moment. EFT combines the most streamlined, comfortable, and effective methods of Chinese medicine, which have a proven track record, long recognized and respected by conventional medicine, together with the most advanced western psychology. Worldwide, it has often been referred to as "emotional acupuncture without needles". It is more effective than hypnosis, positive thinking or any other method".

How is it more effective than positive thinking?

"Positive thinking emphasizes the 'I'. 'I have confidence', a person says, 'I can', 'I, I, I ...', but that's not true and, thus, it leads to internal conflict, especially for Jewish people who are sensitive to striving for truth. And when you go to a psychologist in order to talk about your problem, often you just perpetuate and increase the problem by continuously talking about it. The result is feeling even more subjugated, defeated, and hopeless about solving the problem. By telling your psychologist how miserable you are, without receiving a practical "how to" method for relieving the energy disturbance of being "upset" which you feel in your mind/body, which then provides a basis of calm broadmindedness with which to solve your problem, you will probably leave feeling even more miserable. Now, you're taking action and paying a lot of money to clearly elaborate how you are stuck in the problem to a good-hearted, university educated psychologist, who is listening attentively, and helping you become even more clear about your grief from feeling stuck in the problem. This often causes the troubled client to feel even more miserable and overwhelmed, and doesn't provide practical technology to enable releasing the "upset" disturbance feeling in your mind/body to generate genuine "how to" answers for permanently relieving your problem.

"On the other hand, people emanate joy and get shiny faces when they hear moving music, or dance, or have other creative or warm emotional experiences. What happened? They experienced more joy or freedom by using more of the intuitive, creative, and synthetic right side of their brain. Our logical left brain works to analyze and clarify information and problems. Yet, it just doesn't work to logically subjugate our deepest problems. Logic can often further enroot a justified anger, rather than uproot the problem that I am still stuck carrying this upsetting anger that is hurting my ability to function, and isn't resolving my issue with what "the other side" did to me. Most modern psychology still attempts to talk about and logically dissect and subjugate problems. This often results in escalating your problem until it towers over you like an insurmountable Western Wailing Wall. You feel it is too overwhelming to overcome. You feel inundated with feelings of "I can't".

"But the Western Wailing Wall has another side, and the Holy Temple Mount is there-sacred ground that holds the promise of an ideal Messianic future. In order to reach this sacred Holy, calm, orderly, ideal world ground, we need to use and rely more on our intuitive right brain. The same ability that enables us to use humor, music, and all our creative potential which empowers us to resolve the root cause of our fears. 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' systematically enable us to confront our worst, most troubling problems, balance our mind/body responses, and free ourselves from the subjugating effects of our problems once and for all".

How is this accomplished through our mind/body?

"The body and soul are connected and influence each other. No one disputes that. Even conventional medicine accepts this and relates to this fact in all seriousness. These days, a doctor will ask you about your family in order to understand what pressures you are dealing with and he'll use that information to help determine the state of your health. Every problem a person encounters, whether it is spiritual, logical, emotional, physical, or communication-based, creates an upset feeling or disturbance in our energy system, which then perpetuates the problem. It might sound 'alternative', it may sound like it's imported from California, but it is clearly written in the ancient Jewish sages' treatise Ethics of the Fathers 4:18: 'Rabbi Shimon son of Eliezer says: Do not appease your fellow in the time of his anger and don't comfort him when his dead lies before him'. That is to say, it is impossible to calm an angry person or to comfort a person at the moment when he is upset, disturbed and his pain is present and deep. Our Rabbis understood that it is futile to talk to a person who is trapped in his own internal prison of self static, that is, when his mind is not calm, when his energy system is imbalanced and sending him signals to be and act irrational and upset.

"When a person speaks about trauma, he uses body imagery: 'It killed me', 'It's eating my insides'. This is because the body and the soul are intertwined and influence each other".

Wheat or chaff

What happens when someone experiences trauma?

"There are three possibilities: Flight, Fight, or Freeze. You either fight it, run away from it or stay frozen in place. These are medical facts which were articulated already 1000 years ago in the time of the great Jewish sage Rabbi Shlomo ben Yitzhaki. In the Jewish Torah, when a sudden traumatic event occurs, most people experience shortness of breath and a tendency to freeze. The muscles stiffen, and this constricts our ability to freely move physically, mentally, and emotionally. Therefore, the beginning step in trauma care is to relate to these constrictions in our body, mind, and emotions. It's not enough to just talk about it. Talking intensifies the problem and perpetuates it. In the words of the Holy Kabbalistic Jewish Zohar: 'Transform your problem rather than attempting to subjugate it'. The subjugation approach assumes that the problem is a foreign, unnecessary, unwanted hostile invader that I need to conquer and destroy. True medicine works with and transforms our problems into assets. This requires understanding that everything that happens to us is intended and with love from G-d, and that G-d metes out life experiences to each person according to one's inner strengths. Therefore, every problem we encounter, must be G-d's gift to reveal and help us actualize our unique inner strength that we have not yet succeeded to make use of for our good. Once we recognize this and understand that our job is separating the wheat from the chaff, or the gold within the garbage to make good use of it, we can transform the problem into a lesson and newfound strength.

A good model from the neurology of our body is that when a weight lifter systematically lifts weights -the pressure builds his muscles. And so it is that plant seeds have to begin decomposing before the sprout begins and develops into a beautiful strong plant. So is the sprouting of the Messianic Kingdom of King David: G-d's salvation comes in the blink of an eye. A blink can be seen as a brief moment of almost no time like a flash, in which there is not enough time for a logical work process to unfold. Or, a blink can refer to an automatic process that occurs when your mind is not occupied with the process. You already tried every route to find an answer, and finally when you threw you hands up to the air and gave up, then salvation came and just landed. Yet, to merit G-d's salvation, you had to first lay the groundwork of fully exploring the issue with all your resources, and then let go to let G-d help you solve it. Einstein and most great inventive and creative minds concurred that their great ideas came after tremendous work, letting go or even giving up, and then an intuitive flash landed, as if from G-d directly. And why should G-d help you if you don't trust in G-d that He gave you this problem because He knew you can handle and need it, and that He will come through to help you make ultimate good from all this.

'Emotional Freedom Techniques' gives us a systematic way to restore self control and regulation, to relieve the felt pressure that comes with our problems. By calming the disturbance in our energy system, we can take responsibility for our emotional responses, and see the G-dliness in, and gain G-d's help to transform our problems into assets.

Subsequent to a growing body of medical research and involvement of Drs and PhDs, 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' are beginning to become warmly adopted within conventional medicine in Europe and the United States. "Doctors want to see medical research", emphasizes Rabbi Legomsky, "even though many conventional medicines prescribed regularly do not have a lot of research, and most treat only symptoms and not causes, and produce painful, dangerous side effects. It is important to realize that there is no problem in the world that doesn't have an emotional root: when the human need for love is not met, we will do almost anything, including make ourselves physically sick, to try to meet that unmet need.

Judaism says that a person motivated by unmet needs, behaves ruled by his liver, which symbolizes the impulsive drives part of the human personality to fulfill desires, instead of acting guided by his brain or heart. Judaism describes this imbalanced state kabbalistically in the ancient Zohar as reversal of the flow of our energy system. When the energy system is aligned from brain to heart to liver it forms the Hebrew word for "King", and when the liver reverses the normal order of the flow, the same letters in reversed order form the Hebrew word for "destruction". The Holy mystical Zohar is telling us that when we responsibly balance our physical energy system, we will behave nobly like Kings and benefit properly from all the good of this world. However, when we are slaves to our liver drives and desires, and our energy system becomes totally imbalanced, we self-sabotage and create destruction in our own lives.

On what is this (EFT) technique based?

"It is based on accessing the 14 main energy meridians that map and treat the human body, much like Windows is an operating and access system for a computer. When you systematically tap on these acupressure meridian points, and simultaneously talk about your problem in order to tune into your problem issue in a systematic way -you begin to feel calmer and more balanced almost immediately. The nice thing about EFT is that it is suitable for anybody, and most people will be able to achieve immediate and sustained relief for most problems. Sometimes the problem will not recur at all, and if it does return, it will be less, or feel less bothersome, and you will already know what to do to successfully get more relief.

Rabbi Legomsky heads the Israel Trauma Care center. Since he was appointed by the International Association for licensing Practitioners and Trainers of EFT to direct the Israel branch, and received the blessing of many great Rabbis, he has been working diligently to teach EFT to the Israeli public. EFT was developed by an engineer, based on a technique developed by a PhD Psychology in 1978. Doctors, psychologists, social workers, caretakers, and members of the general population are all counted amongst Rabbi Legomsky's 250+ graduates from his 20 hour training courses. "Today we are all terror victims", he says. "There isn't a home without someone who suffers from depression, sadness, fear or anxiety, and most of us have unproductive addictive or compulsive drives. EFT is the least expensive, most efficient, fastest working tool, which is backed up by an international support system which is blossoming and evolving. The relief it provides is immediate, but when an individual wants to change his way of life, EFT needs to be supported with good rapport and counseling skills. Counseling without the practical self regulation technology of EFT is very limited. However, EFT with solid rapport and counseling skills provides transformative healing".

After having trained thousands of terror victims in the army, healthcare centers, Yad Sarah and elsewhere, his aim is to establish systematic support centers throughout the country. "There is a need for a wide-ranging support system", he says, "where people meet regularly: Orthodox Hasidim should meet with Orthodox Hasidim, women should meet with women, non-religious left wingers with similar people etc. and they will practice and apply EFT to free themselves from suffering, become stronger, and achieve happy, more balanced lives. By meeting in groups where they share the same ideologies and values, nothing will get in the way of creating more unity, and succeeding with EFT instead of getting sidetracked. Ultimately, this will also provide a basis for more unity and integration of different types of people in society. This is because, as the great Rabbis said, if we first fix ourselves, we will be better, calmer people, and more easily create more harmony in the world in which we interact. The problem today is that there is much dysfunctionality in the family and educational systems, which stems from imbalance in each individual. If each one of us will just take charge to regulate our own energy system, we can treat, balance, and resolve our main problems, and regain self control, and more societal unity and harmony."

Rabbi Legomsky usually says to his patients : "Don't believe a word I say, I didn't believe EFT works so well for 5 years. Just keep using EFT at least 10 minutes daily and whenever you have something troubling you, use it according to the instructions that I taught and printed out for you. Then, just look at the results, and believe in them".

Future Medicine

Rabbi Shmuel Kidmi is a social worker who uses psychotherapy. He uses the 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' in his work with his patients and has seen good results. "On the face of things, the proof is obvious. The technique definitely abides by the rationale of treatment since it unites all existing treatment methods and has proven results", he says. The common thread among all people who are stuck, for whatever reason, is a feeling of helplessness, which finds expression in various areas. They don't know what to do with themselves. Lack of action itself can lead to anxiety and feelings of depression. The wisdom behind 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' is that it forces the person to do something, even if it is something small and simple. Even it if is small - it is a stake, a safety board, which he can grab onto when he feels he is drowning in a sea of emotion. It is a point of departure and if he will walk along his path -- the path will widen and become more safe and secure.

Leora Tzobel, who leads discussions on intimacy, family and parenting and also treats issues dealing with eating control, was introduced to this technique three years ago and has integrated it into her work. "This is 22nd century medicine", she says. "There are significant results in improving relationships between couples, achieving relief from pain and anxiety, and in coming closer to ourselves. People come to me with fears and personal issues in which they have become entangled, and many personal problems. Many of the problems between couples are actually problems of the individual with himself, which he is inclined to blame on his spouse. Once the spouse sees things in a new light, the whole system changes.

"The great thing about this technique is that it speeds up the process. Insights, which generally take somebody months to reach, are already exposed in the first few weeks. There are people who come in suffering from depression who have taken anti-depressant drugs. After being treated with Emotional Freedom Techniques, their entire personality is elevated and they can significantly reduce their dose of medication. There were occasions when doctors would inquire to find out what these individuals did that so drastically improved their condition.

Rifka, a social worker from Jerusalem, had been working with a family for three years, particularly with their son who had fallen into deep distress following the death of a family member in a terrorist attack. The youth was angry at his parents and wanted to move out of the home. "When I would arrive at their home - he wouldn't open the door for me. He was unkept and wasn't taking care of himself. He wasn't functioning and had been expelled from school. I attempted to convince him that even if his parents ignore him, he shouldn't let that ruin his life, that he has a choice. But that didn't help because from an emotional point of view and from past experience - he perceived his parents in a particular way. When I had just about given up hope, I turn Rabbi Legomsky worked with and taught the boy 'Emotional Freedom Techniques'. Through this technique, the boy was able to release much of the anger he was feeling towards his parents. And although for three years I had failed in my attempt to relieve him of his feelings of misery, after just two weeks using 'Emotional Freedom Techniques', he called me and said, "I'm tired of feeling sorry for myself, I want to do something with my life".

"From year to year, the cases I see are becoming more and more difficult and when the level of stress rises, I would need a few days of vacation to recover. Today I no longer need that rest. EFT frees internal stress and helps me maintain the health of both my body and soul while providing stability in my work".

Rifka even uses the technique with her children. "When they complain of a pain in their leg, hand, ears, or teeth, I implement the exercises and am able to reduce their level of pain. They even enjoy it and ask for it".

Leah is a clinical psychologist who has been struggling with her weight for years. "The 'Emotional Freedom Techniques' together with my becoming aware, is a winning combination and influenced me more than any other technique I tried in the past. And there were many", she says. "Thanks to this technique, I lost four kilograms in one month. This technique gave me the motivation, strength, and relief from emotional stress. It stopped me from turning to food whenever I felt emotional distress and enabled me to stop and think and do something else instead of eating. Part of the problem we all experience is frustration and a negative self-image, and this causes many people to overeat. Emotional Freedom Techniques, indeed, bring freedom and acceptance of ourselves. It positions you between the needs that chase you and the needs which are satisfied, and teaches you how to navigate to a different place".

"The 'failures' in our house began almost at the beginning of our marriage", explains Tirza, a wife and mother. "And even back then, we wandered from Rabbis to psychologists and others who deal with issues of marital harmony. They did their best to help, always keeping in mind the good of the children. Those who tried to help always emphasized how important it was for me to maintain harmony in the home. But over and over again I found myself without the tools to enable me to do that.

"In distress, I turned for help. I tried 'Emotional Freedom Techniques', and from the start I felt the difference between 'before' and 'after'. I immediately felt a true sense of control over the situation which, in turn, had an immediate positive effect on my responses and improved the atmosphere in the home. At first I thought it must be a 'psychological' phenomenon, but as time passed and the experience repeated itself and the amazing results continued, I was glad to be persuaded that the main obstacle was gone.

"Over time this wonderful feeling became stronger. I learned to rid myself of obstacles, and to be able to cope and respond in a constructive manner. You can say that I left every meeting with a lighter burden and an awareness of many developments which until now had surrounded my life in closed circuits. My life and my family's life changed completely. Today I know that we can grow and use our life experiences to build ourselves as long as we have the tools in hand to understand and help ourselves".

Letter from leading American heart specialist

Israel Trauma Care represents a sensible, necessary approach to a quickly growing problem. It is important to join private working medical professionals in a non-profit organization that will both provide free treatment to poor victims, and enable a formal structure for developing better treatment methods. Without such an organization, most of these medical professionals are not likely to pool knowledge. This should enhance medical progress tangibly by exposing the doctors to more treatment modalities and increasing their options to help patients. Quality control will increase as we test and determine what works well for each problem.

Most importantly, victims will receive more and better personal attention, and greater rehabilitation options. As a result of the terror war in Israel, many of the 5000+ injured, have lost limbs and otherwise lost much of their former level of functionality. There are many new medical issues that demand research and development to find answers. For example, many victims have currently unremovable metal lodged in their bodies. The long term effects of leaving metal in the body, as well as the prospects for future removal of the metal and the after effects must be assigned to be researched by a specific team of capable experts.

The trauma issues extend to much higher numbers of society. Psychological trauma has been inflicted on thousands of immediate and extended family members of the many victims of terror. Because the existing medical system has already formally acknowledged that most citizens are not reaching out to deal with their issues, we must provide education and services to reach out to them.

Rabbi Legomsky, MA Neurotherapist, is known to me in his capacity as Rabbi, medical clinician and clinic director, and organizer of the medical professionals involved in Israel Trauma Care. It is of the greatest importance that anyone who can help this organization respond quickly in the strongest manner of support, because it is clear that these issues are not being adequately addressed. Israel Trauma Care is directly responsible for daily free medical assistance to the many suffering terror victims who are not otherwise receiving their medical needs. Therefore, I endorse this organization and ask those who are able to open their hearts and provide ample funding for these noble professionals to provide the necessary assistance. I also humbly offer my services in an advisory capacity.

Sincerely, Richard J. McCarty, M.D. Emeritus Professor of Clinical Medicine Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A.

Dr. Yisroel Yaffa M.D., Clinical Director ITC, Jerusalem, Israel

I have a professional and personal relationship with Rabbi Legomsky. His work directing Israel Trauma Care offering free trauma assistance for terror victims has helped many victims, and revealed the great unmet need for more of this work. In the past two years, there have been more than 600 people killed and more than 5000 people injured in terrorist attacks here. The family and personal problems arising from this have been great and extensive, and new medical issues are arising all the time. I am committed to supporting the Israel Trauma Caret for it is a great and necessary cause to support emergency medical services and free trauma service centers.

Avraham Gundle D.O. N. D. (UK), Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel

It is a privilege to be associated with the Israel Trauma Care and Rabbi Immanuel, who is also working in our clinic.

There is a tremendous need in Israel today to support trauma victims from terror, and this has clearly not been done with the current infrastructure provided by the Israeli government. Israel Trauma Care is exactly designed to meet that need-to go into hospitals, and to provide clinics where victims come to and be reached so trauma, on a deep level, can be dealt with in an appropriate and courteous manner. This is something that I feel everyone has an obligation to support to the best of their ability.

Personal letter from Rabbi Zelig Pliskin, author, and personal and family counsellor, Jerusalem, Israel. BS"D 3rd Menachem Av, 5762 July 12th, 2002

Dear Rabbi Immanuel Yosef Legomsky,

Over the many years that I have known you, Israel Trauma Care, seems to me the fruition of your talents in helping people with emotional and trauma issues. It is very much who you are, and I feel sure that G-d will bless you to help many needy victims and their families. I hope that you will receive the needed financial support so that you may succeed to join together a team of talented professionals to pool their knowledge to develop even more effective methods in this immensely necessary work. May you go from success to success. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance.

Sincerely, Rabbi Zelig Pliskin

May 29, 2002 letter from Jerusalem Sbarro Restaurant terrorist bombing survivor-Mrs. A.

"Being a trauma victim of the Sbarro terrorist attack, and having exhausted other avenues of therapy, I was referred to Rabbi Legomsky through a colleague of his, a psychologist, who highly recommended his treatment for trauma victims. I entered his office with curiosity and trepidation-however my fears were put to rest as he explained his treatment in a soothing and caring fashion. He was able to quickly unfold deep, inner information about me, and treat my trauma accordingly. I can only say that after an hour session, I felt much more relaxed and better about myself. I left his office with very useful tools in dealing with trauma, and future trauma related anxiety. The "conventional therapy" that I have experienced had left me feeling patronized and alone. I feel that numerous sessions with Rabbi Legomsky's techniques would be beneficial in coping with my every day life. I am very grateful to him for helping me explore my traumatic emotions to deal with them in a more positive fashion.

With gratitude, Mrs. A.

To our dear and honorable teacher Rabbi Immanuel Yosef Legomsky, Shlita:

We've known him for many years As one who toils in the study of Torah, Mishna and Talmud. Support Letters from Graduates of our EFT Practitioner Training Course

Esther Henig: I liked that the treatment works almost immediately sometimes, it’s very quick.

For example, my children sometimes have problems falling asleep because they get stuffed noses. A short treatment usually enables them to feel better and fall asleep quickly.

Additionally, my son once got up in the morning and had itching all over his body and he didn’t want to go to school. I treated him, and he went. That evening, when I asked him how his day went he had forgotten all about the itching problem.

My nursing baby boy and I are cannot eat diary products because dairy causes us allergic reactions.

During the festival of Shavuot I, of course, had a lot of diary cakes. Then, I immediately treated both of us. From years of experience, I was expecting very severe sinusitis and terrible earaches. This time, however, nothing happened, and everything was fine.

Chana Schneider: I worked with a woman who has been using many diets for 20 years! She has successfully lost weight, but always gained it back since she finds it too hard to only eat the amounts of food that the diets allow. We treated this issue and in the past two weeks she hasn’t exceeded eating the optimal amount of food that her diet allows her to eat.  She’s delighted!

Anonymous: When I decided to take part in an EFT course I was full of doubts, I thought this was just another course for course organizers to make money at the expense of the participants.

I was, of course, sceptical of the results of the treatment and felt that it was guided imagery.

But, my strong desire to get rid of my chronic back pain that has been with me for years, overcame my uncertainty.

In the introductory lecture I discovered another bonus when Rabbi Legomsky explained that EFT could be used for weight loss. My weight problem, caused by pregnancies and births was an avenue I wanted to pursue as well. So my back pain and will to lose weight caused me to take part in an EFT Course, led by Rabbi Legomsky. I also hoped I could use this tool to help my family and children.

Well, the immediate gain I discovered was the relief of physical pains that show up uninvited and “camp out” in different parts of my body. I found I could help myself without needing medicine and/or having to go to the doctor. I haven’t yet succeeded in utilizing these techniques for weight loss, but that is caused by my weakness to food and cakes, which I haven’t yet had time to treat.

The other important gain in my eyes from this course is that I have taught my children to use these techniques.

An especially successful story that surprised me:

My 16-year-old daughter came home in the middle of the school day with severe stomach pains and lay in her bed, alone at home. When I discovered that she was in pain, I suggested she use EFT for herself. She treated herself, as I was not home. To my great surprise a short while later she felt strong and healthy and she got out of bed. When I called home some hours later to see how she was feeling she had totally forgotten about the pain!

Ayala Juri: I liked the words of Torah that proved to me that we have everything in our tradition and how it fits with the material we learned.

I also discovered that everyone has problems (be they simple or complex), trials and tribulations, and that I am not “the problem”.

I was successful in learning how to think in EFT terms, to see and understand the way I think and react, and to spot the barriers I put in my way.

I also learned to distance myself emotionally when my family members share their experiences.

Chana Brim, Principal of the “Beit Bracha” Girls School in Beitar Illit: With thanks and appreciation. In my opinion, the most positive message I can say about this course is that enables the ability and means to deal with the client from where he is at, and to guide him according to his will, abilities and pace. When respecting the client is important to the therapist, it creates positive communication, trust and guarantees success, G-d willing.

My greatest success was treating my partner without his knowledge and cooperation. (I treated a physical pain).

It’s amazing!!! The result was immediately visible and impressive. I don’t know why, but I wasn’t able to repeat the treatment.

May G-d give you strength, for the wonderful words of Torah at the beginning of every meeting.

Thank you for giving the course in such a dignified manner.

Blessings and success in all that you do!

Anonymous:

I was happy to learn EFT since it allows me to calm myself down without being dependent on anyone else.

I personally dealt with an addiction to food. Hearing the different aspects of the problem has relaxed me and I have begun to feel calmer when I face food.

I am a musician and homemaker living in Beitar Illit with my family.

I am very happy and grateful to G-d for having had the opportunity to learn this unique treatment, which teaches freeing self-help, is deeply relaxing, and a tool that can be used to help others such as family, friends and G-d willing, clients.

EFT has deepened and enriched my attitude towards life in general, and myself in particular in very positive ways. The technique includes a healthy and freeing way of perceiving ourselves, and our place in the world. It also fits well with our Jewish tradition.

From a Healthcare Professional, and EFT Practitioner graduate, specializing in EFT

"I must praise Rabbi Legomsky's undertaking. He acts with self-sacrifice and fully believes in his ability to help many people through EFT, a simple, readily available, and most of all, amazingly effective method of treatment."

"Rabbi Legomsky is a top expert in this treatment. He is a man of kindness and concern who works tirelessly for the benefit of the public. It is fitting to praise his undertakings and help him establish his organization whose purpose is to help a population which is coping with high levels of anxiety due to the difficult security situation."

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gary Craig, from the bottom of my heart, for the EFT technique which he developed, and his kindheartedness and generosity in sharing this treatment with all who can benefit from it."

"I see EFT as "The Treatment" (with a capital T) that exists today. There is nothing that even compares to EFT in terms of bringing much needed help and calmness to people who live daily with high levels of stress from terror attacks and war. As a caregiver, this method has enabled me to help many individuals improve their lives. Many families were built anew after having initially arrived at my office on the brink of collapse. I was able to significantly diminish psychiatric problems which had existed for years. This enabled not only the patient himself, but also those close to him, to become rehabilitated after many years of suffering. I don't have the words to describe the beauty and strength of EFT. I love working with it and thank the Holy One blessed be He that I was introduced to this method and am fortunate to be able to help so many people with it.

Learning Difficulties, and Creating Harmony

I am a visual artist. My best learning is not done while sitting and
listening in a classroom. However, that is the way most foreign languages
are taught. In my class for learning Hebrew, I had a hard time just sitting and listening to Hebrew and trying to learn. What made it even harder was how loud the classroom was. What made it worse was the noise in the in the lounge area.

Our teacher always left the door open. Instead of being able to listen to
my teacher, I was overwhelmed by the noise of other classrooms singing and doing their lessons, students on break in the lounge chatting and other students in my class talking out of turn. I was frustrated and really
beginning to dread my class for learning Hebrew. At EFT class one Tuesday night, I started by tapping on what I thought was my difficult in learning Hebrew. After a few rounds I got to a more specific "learning troubles", which got me to a deeper place of really having a hard time listening in my class for learning Hebrew, and how I was working really hard just to overcome the noise. Then next day at my class for learning Hebrew, the lounge area was full of chatters, the other classes were in full voice and the talkative students in my class were beginning to warm up. When suddenly, my teacher, without stopping the lesson, went over to the door and closed it. After that day, she was very conscientious about closing the door. No one talked to her. And certainly no one complained about the noise our class made. Just on her own and with a bit of EFT on my part, the classroom was quieter. I had an easier time listening and learning. And although I am not yet fluent in Hebrew, because I have not tapped on THAT yet, I did pretty well in the course.

Stress Anxiety, and Immigration Issues

We are new immigrants to Israel. We took Rabbi Legomsky's EFT course after a few months in the country. We found Rabbi Legomsky to be a passionate teacher. His excitement and belief in the method came through each class. His dedication to building a broad base of EFT practitioners is admirable, such a network of trained EFTers will be beneficial in this country which has so much stress and strife.

As immigrants, EFT has helped reduce the stress of change and uncertainity. We left full lives in America, to come to a country where we didn't know the language, didn't understand the culture and didn't have a support network to help us adjust. EFT has provided a painless, but effective, way to face the stress and move away from it in a positive way.

We are thankful to Rabbi Legomsky for his work and wish for his continued
success in his endeavours.

Pain Issues and Underlying Emotional Causes

As a massage therapist, I have found EFT to be a great tool for my clients. I recently had a client who called and said that she couldn't move one of her legs and asked that I come to her house to give her a massage since she couldn't move enough to get out of the house. When I asked what had precipitated the problem, she said that nothing had. When I asked when it started, she said that it had started when she was very stressed out by some houseguests. I asked her to try EFT in addition to some massage. It very quickly was apparent to both of us that the problem with her leg was not physical in origin. As we tapped, the pain kept jumping from place to place on her body - and she quickly went from a vague "I was stressed during their visit" to very specific issues. Before I left, she walked up and down the steps with no problem at all and was almost dancing around her living room.

She called two days later and said the pain was back and could I come again. We started tapping, and again the pain was moving around and dissipating. Suddenly she stopped tapping and said "I just realized, I need the pain for 2 more weeks." She wasn't interested in working through the reasons for that, but the tapping had given her clarity on many issues.
